The Garage
Carriage House

The garage at Pittock Mansion is a distinctive and charming part of the property. Designed in the early 20th century, it reflects the architectural style of the main mansion, which is built in a combination of French Renaissance and eclectic influences. The garage is a small yet elegant structure with the same attention to detail as the mansion.
It was initially intended to house the Pittock family’s automobiles. The garage features a stone exterior, blending seamlessly with the mansion’s grand and stately appearance. Its design includes a steeply pitched roof, similar to that of the mansion, and is adorned with elements that reflect the same period style, such as decorative brickwork and wooden accents.
Over the years, the garage has been preserved and has become part of the museum. It serves as an office, a museum store, and an admission bay.
