Pittock Mansion Time Travelers Camp Code of Conduct 

At Pittock Mansion Time Travelers Summer Camp we are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for everyone. In order to maintain this environment, our campers are expected to follow the code of conduct below at all times. Campers are also empowered to raise concerns about situations at camp that may make them feel unsafe or that may not feel “right”. Staff are here to listen and help navigate these situations or circumstances at camp. 

As a camper at Pittock Mansion, I will:   

1. Abide by all of the camp’s policies and procedures.   

1. Demonstrate respect in my speech and actions for all people, facilities, nature, and camp rules.   

1. Refrain from behavior or actions that might harm the Mansion or the objects inside it, including vandalism, intentionally taking, touching, or breaking historical objects, and ignoring instructions to maintain distance from art and objects in the Mansion. 

1. Not possess or use prohibited items, including alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, vaping products, illegal drugs, prescription or non-prescription drugs, weapons, or related paraphernalia.  

1. Be responsible for my belongings and agree to allow searches of my possessions—in my presence—if suspicion arises of banned substances or theft.   

1. Keep my hands to myself and maintain appropriate boundaries by avoiding any physical violence, play fighting, or pranks.   

1. Refrain from inappropriate behaviors, including: 

1. Jokes, comments, or gestures of a sexual nature 

1. Indecent exposure of private body parts 

1. Unwelcome physical conduct or contact 

1. Possession, or sharing, of sexually explicit materials 

1. Harassment, teasing, or hazing 

1. Any sexual activity  

1. Not verbally abuse others by using inappropriate language, gossip, threats, teasing, exclusion, or harassment.  

1. Avoid unsupervised activities that might endanger me or other camper’s physical or emotional well-being.   

1. Refrain from unsafe or harmful behaviors towards myself and others, including self-harm.  

1. Maintain proper nutrition and hydration while at camp, and inform staff of any health concerns.  

1. Inform camp staff of any health or medical conditions.  

1. Speak up if I have questions or concerns about any behavior or situations I witness or am a part of at camp.  

After reviewing this Camper Code of Conduct, I understand that if I violate it, or any of the camp rules, I will have to take responsibility for my actions and their consequences. If in violation, my parent(s)/guardian(s) may be notified. I understand that I may be sent home at my own or my parent(s)/guardian(s) expense without any refund. I also understand that I may be suspended from future camp activities or seasons.
