Pittock Mansion
Georgiana Pittock and The City of Roses
Overview For Teachers
Georgiana and the City of Roses at Pittock Mansion explores the life and impact of community leader Georgiana Pittock. Her interest in philanthropy and community work improved life for many of Portland’s underserved populations. She also helped make Portland known as the “City of Roses”. The result of her hard work influenced the development of this city just as much as her well-known husband, Henry Pittock. Her legacy continues today through the social organizations she helped to create.
