A Pittock Mansion Christmas: Winter Wonderland is on view now through January 4, 2024 at Pittock Mansion (closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). This year’s decorations evoke a Winter Wonderland by showcasing snow angels, ice skating, elves, snowmen, hot chocolate and gingerbread, marshmallows, and more.
The museum is pleased to host the Oregon Repertory Singers Youth Choir on Sunday, December 17th, from 10:30-12:00 pm. Youth Choir staff and guest youth choir members will entertain the visitors with timeless Christmas carols filling the morning with musical joy in celebration of the season.
Several additional live musical experiences have been scheduled to enhance visitor experience on the following days:
Saturday, December 16th,10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Piano); Saturday, December 16th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Piano and violin); Sunday, December 17th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Piano); Tuesday, December 19th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Piano); Friday, December 22nd, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Clarinet ensemble); Friday, December 22nd, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Quartet); Saturday, December 23rd, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Harp); Saturday, December 23rd, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Piano); Tuesday, December 26th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Piano); Friday, December 29th, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Flute and guitar); Friday, December 29th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Guitar, fiddle, and flute trio).
“Pittock Christmas, Winter Wonderland has been a huge success this year with record attendance, especially on the weekends.” said Paula Gangopadhyay, Chief Executive Officer, Pittock Mansion Society. “Live music in the original Music Room brings the mansion to life and permeates throughout the building adding to the festive spirit. We invite Portlanders to come and immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the holidays.” she added.
The Mansion is open daily 10am–4pm, opening at noon on Tuesdays. Timed tickets for Pittock Christmas are available at pittockmansion.org/events. Admission is $16.50 for adults, $14.50 for seniors, $12.50 for youth and children 5 and under are free. Ticket includes admission to the mansion, the special exhibition in the mansion and the Gate Lodge. Purchasing timed tickets online in advance at pittockmansion.org/events is recommended. Pittock Mansion Christmas is an annual event. General admission discounts do not apply.
